You’ve found my little corner of the internet and I’m so thankful you’re here! Wanna know more about The Doodle Shop? Pull up a seat… where do I begin?
I’ve always been drawn to creating and have had a variety of creative adventures along the way … but as 2020 and the pandemic rolled in, a few things aligned (while a few things fell apart) and The Doodle Shop began!
It all started with a Doodle Box for my little nephew. But whoa hold on… this wasn’t the Doodle Box that we know today - this was just a white shipping box that I drew a party parade onto with a pen! I filled it with goodies and dropped it to his doorstep with hopes that coloring the box would be added fun, cultivate creativity (and kill a little time … because we had an abundance of that)!
As time went on I drew a couple coloring sheets to entertain my kiddos. I shared them on my social media and offered them to be shipped and before I knew it friends were ordering them from near and far.
Since then I’ve created more products, shifted many things in my life, and happy danced so much. My heart bursts every time I receive a sweet message or get to chat with people at a pop-up around town! It’s been so much fun to create items that bring joy and fun, and I’m so thankful you’re with me for the ride!

1998
Imagine nine year old Kayla. I had just learned how to attach clip art to a Word Doc, and that.was.cool. I spent my summer creating greeting cards printed poorly on flimsy paper, but somehow I convinced all the neighborhood Grandmas that I was the real deal. 10¢ per card was the going rate, and I sold a good 25 cards that summer. So, what a win! But little did I know… this would be the start of my business adventures!

2020
Prior to the pandemic I was a wedding photographer, photographing love, traveling to beaches, and loving every bit of it! But when things halted and gatherings were restricted in our state, I found myself with some free time. The free time let me start drawing again and my first project was a Doodle Box with a Party Parade for my nephew. We dropped it on his porch filled with goodies… and The Doodle Box was born! 🥳

2021
Through the year I had the best time letting myself be creative in a new way. I continued drawing and those drawings slowly turned into coloring books, stickers, keychains, notepads, and more. As things got rolling, our dining room filled… and I quickly knew that I needed a space to hold The Doodle Shop. The world aligned, and I ended up in a space with my sweet cuzfriend who also owns a business… and in 2021 we moved into The Shop.

2022
Here we are. The Doodle Shop is cruisin, and I’m loving it! I primarily ship online orders from The Shop. Now and then I pop-up around town so that I can see your sweet faces and happy dance with you as we squeal over the Party Llama and how much we both love sticky notes, and it’s SO MUCH FUN! I’m dreaming of future items all day, every day, and so excited for all the the future holds for The Doodle Shop! Thank you for being here!!!
